COLONEL ANTHONY R. RAMAGE
Colonel Anthony R. Ramage is the Commander, Detachment 1, Air Force
Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC), Peterson Air Force
Base, Colorado. As Detachment 1 Commander, Colonel Ramage is the
AFIMSC Commander's senior representative to Headquarters Air Force
Space Command, leading a staff of 32 military and government/contractor
civilians, managing AFIMSC's enterprise wide assets to support AFSPC’s
38,000 professionals assigned to 134 locations worldwide.
Colonel Ramage is a 1985 graduate of S.D. Lee High School in
Columbus, MS. He was commissioned through the Air Force Reserve
Officer Training Corps program in 1989 from Mississippi State University
with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. A career civil
engineer officer, he commanded a civil engineer squadron, a civil
engineer group, and served in a variety of positions at installation,
numbered air force, major command, Air Staff and Joint Staff levels. His
deployment experience includes deployments to Dhahran AB, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, multiple locations
throughout Europe in support of Balkans’ peacekeeping operations, and Baghdad, Iraq in support of
Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Prior to his current assignment, Colonel Ramage commanded the 673d Civil Engineer Group where he led
1,110 personnel responsible for construction, maintenance, repair, and natural and built asset management
of $15B of infrastructure on 84,000 acres as well as the readiness, emergency management, explosive
ordnance disposal and fire protection for over 16,000 assigned military personnel, supporting three Air Force
wings and two Army brigades.
Colonel Ramage is a native of Mississippi. He is married to the former Paulette C. Smith of Anaheim,
California. They have 2 children, Gabriel (21) and Michael (18).
