which includes high-bandwidth and high-speed SerDes in
multiple nodes, analog subsystems such as GPIOs, DAC
and ADC, along with associated circuitry for next-
generation MRAM designs. The company’s main goal is to
transfer all repetitive parts of chip development to
computers, freeing up human brain space for future
problems. With innovation and out-of-the-box thinking
being the focus, DXCorr is poised to bring revolutionary

Breaking the Barriers
The foremost challenge DXCorr faces is that as technology
nodes shrink to less than 2nm, the need for lower supply
and lower power design becomes paramount. Low-power
design demands fresher approaches and architectural
changes depending on the specifications of their clients.
Estimation of each factor, mainly power, depends on the
number of elements in the design, the toggle frequency of
each component, specific cells used, manufacturing
variance, operating temperature, etc.
“Power(P), Performance (P), Area(A), Leakage(L) is the
first and foremost estimation that we budget during the very
first phase of the project. As we get the estimations, multiple
architectural topologies are analyzed to ensure
comparisons between them,” he says. In fact, several low-
power design techniques are used, such as multiple VDD,
frequency and voltage scaling, clock gating, power gating,
etc. This method of exploration helps to analyze and
characterize each Process Design Kit (PDK) depending on
product specification requirements.

In his advice to budding professionals aspiring to venture
into the semiconductor sector, Nirmalya says the facts and
surveys show that there is a global scarcity in the
semiconductor industry, which ultimately results in the
industry's long-term future security and its commitment to
expand and be driven by the communications, data
processing, and automotive sectors. The semiconductor
business is in high demand due to the urgent need for
Integrated Circuits (ICs) in all domains, ranging from
Telecommunication to Defence. Therefore, it’s advisable to
start a career in the semiconductor sector rather than
choosing a conventional IT/Software role.

advantage over traditional devices. SiC technology has
superior performance characteristics, such as higher energy
efficiency, faster switching speeds, and better temperature
resistance.
While SiC technology offers numerous benefits, it comes at
a higher cost for customers. This cost premium is due to the
advanced materials and manufacturing processes of SiC-
based devices. Despite the higher price, customers are
willing to invest in SiC devices due to their cutting-edge
capabilities and the potential long-term cost savings
through improved energy efficiency and reliability.
By embracing SiC technology, we aim to stay at the
