1. The first days filming
Overall,the firstweekof filmingwentwell.We were able tospendtime onthe lipsyncingandreally
getto grips withthe bestwayof makingitwork.Thishoweverdidtake upa lot of time initially,
meaningthe shotswe wishedtofilmandgettogether onthischosendaywere limitedandtaken
downinnumbersfromwhat we hadhoped.
However,the lightingwasgoodandthe shots that we didcollaborate togetheroverthese numbered
days,were infact a success.We managedtoachieve whatitis we wanted,andcollectfootage that
translatedthe twocharacter’srelationship.
In lightof this,we were alsofacedwithstrugglesanddifficulties.Onthese firstfew dayswe
discoveredthatwhilstsome of ourideasworked,othersdidn’t.Thismeantittookupa lotof our
time,aswe couldn’tmanage to getit to work.It startedto become apparenttous that maybe we
had overcomplicatedthings,and byfollowingthingssocloselytothe lyricsmeantthe narrative was
startingto looklessreal and cheesier.
Therefore,fromthiswe have learntthatthe simplerideascanbe somewhatmore effective and
decidedtochange our original ideatosomethingmore straightforward.Inthe end,itwasmore
beneficial tosimplifythe ideatoone simple love story,followingthe couple andtheirconnection.
Afterthisweekof filming,we satdownandbrainstormed togethermore suitableideas.
Thismeanswe can carry throughwhatwe have learnttothe nextweek,aswell aswhatwentwell.
