11. H O W O U R S T E A M T R A P S W O R K
The DELTA traps work by combining venturi technology with
a capillary orifice, thus:
Part of the capacity of the DELTA trap is related to the size of
the capillary
Part of the capacity is related to the back pressure generated
by the flashing in the venturi
The internal geometry of the Delta trap is designed in such
a way that the capacity of the trap adapts to the change in
operating conditions of the process or application.
Therefore, the delta trap works efficiently under varying
load conditions, from minimum to maximum capacity!

DELTA Steam Traps focus on both steam savings, and process performance. This means that the live steam leakage is stopped but
the traps still remove condensate effectively. As a result, the process will not have any issues due to condensate backup and
there will be no financial losses due to live steam leakage or reject product.
Results of a steam survey:
•Knowing which steam traps are blocked or blowing as well as the degree of each
•Understanding exactly how much money is being lost due to live steam leakage based on actual site steam costs
•Faulty traps are identified and can be effectively replaced
