Challenges Discovered
In our initial meetings we determined that the customer had multiple locations with
services including: MPLS, DIA, HPBX, Cell, Email, and DNS. In addition to cloud
hosted products the customer was also hosting their own video conferencing and
Database repository. The Email had become corrupt and was being blacklisted
and the Internet service was subpar for their Video Traffic. They had challenges
with their current provider that included: Support availability, Billing, and outages.
United Telco Consulting Solution
We looked at 5 major carriers and determined that the best action for the customer
was to diversify the services among specialists. For the MPLS, HPBX, and DIA we
brought in A CLEC with National presence– We upgraded the Main location from
10 to 20 MEG Fiber and the secondary location from bonded T1s (3mbs) to a Fi-
ber 10 MEG circuit. We upgraded all phones to the Latest Polycom Color Touch
screen series and added Cloud based Firewall services in addition to COS/QOS
features. We moved their Email to the cloud, upgraded their storage capacity, and
added AppRiver protection inbound/outbound scanning. We brought in a Cell/
Mobility provider and analyzed multiple options prior to selecting a plan that ex-
panded services and provided the latest equipment. Finally we moved their DNS
to a recognized global provider.
Results
The customer now has all New office/mobile phones, more than double the net-
work capacity and Internet speeds, expanded email, cloud based firewall and
email security and we were able to provide this with a cost savings.
