2. Plot
• My film is about teenage girls and one of them experience backstabbing. This girl is named Lila and has a best
friend called Jessica. Both have them have known each other since they were 5 years old and currently go to high
school together. They meet a group of popular girls and become part of that circle however the popular girls seem
to like Jessica more than Lila. The popular girls find a way to break Jessica and Lila’ friendship and plan to kill Lila
with consulting Jessica. They convince Jessica to kill her and she does it. After Lila is killed they hide her body. The
teenagers carrying on with their lives and act like nothing has happened however just when they think she is dead,
Lila’s ‘dead’ body appears unexpectedly and she seeks to get them back.

3. How is my film a horror film
• My film is sub genre of horror which is a slasher. This is a typical slasher film because the
main characters are teenagers and the main theme for slashers is revenge. Usually the person
who seeks revenge is the person who is offended by someone or a group of people and will
want to get they back for what they did. Also this emphasises that whatever you have done
in the past will come back to haunt you.

4. Codes and Conventions
• As this is a film based on teenage girls as the audience we can expect screaming in this slasher film. Lila has basically
risen from the dead and finds her way to get back those who were involved in her murder so when they see her the
characters will scream in shock.
• Death and Blood is a typical code and convention in a horror film which my film idea includes and Lila is a
character who gets murdered and when she comes back to life to get those teenage girls back her body has blood
dripping.
• This also creates enigma because as I read it myself I can picture what the rest of the film will be like and it makes
me as well as the audience eager to see how Lila is killed and how she seeks revenge from the girls who killed her,
especially her best friend Jessica.
