2. HI, I’M JULIE…
I’m an expert in consumer
electronics packaging at Stephen
Gould Corporation, North
America’s largest packaging
solutions provider.
My team’s speciality is creating
cutting edge, effective packaging
and products for electronics and
tech brands.
Here’s how we do it.
3. COLLABORATION
We believe that packaging is an expression of your vision. That’s why we invite our
clients to contribute to our co-design process. Our expertise + your insight = results.
4. RESEARCH
What design works best? What materials, and manufacturing process? We leave no
stone unturned in creating packaging that stands out, and stands the test of time.
5. ATTENTION
TO DETAIL
Great packaging is more than a
first impression. It’s the cumulative
effect of a thousand details perfectly
considered and designed.
6. THE PROOF
A great process and a great team
deliver great results.
Here are a few of our success
stories.
7. Willow needed to attain a very
specific, mom-friendly packaging feel.
Although we worked directly with the
client’s design group, we needed to
invent the packaging structure and
CAD files based on their renderings.
There were technical challenges, as
there are with any high value
technical product package. And being
a product with high esthetic, we
needed to create a delightful‘reveal’,
with all the substrates working
harmoniously together.
8. The world is a small place. Launching
Mont Blanc’s Summit watches proved
that.
We worked with a designer in London.
Our client was in Germany. And our
production team was in China.
Working together virtually, we created
impeccable packaging, including a
‘mountaintop’insert that cradled the
watch face.
9. We began with GoPro when the
company had 20 employees.
Since then, we’ve helped them
produce their famous 360º
transparent jewel case packaging,
their instore video screens that
showcase nonstop extreme sports,
and an endless variety of accessories.
You’re looking at the latest iteration of
our campaign, gear for GoPro Karma
drones.
10. PayPal is a lean operation. Which put
us in an interesting situation.
They didn’t have the resources or
desire to produce their merchant card
readers in-house. So they tasked
us with sourcing the product,
packing it, warehousing it, and
shipping it around the globe.
In effect, we’ve become PayPal’s
outsourced operations
department.
11. Gray is a hard colour to love - it is,
quite possibly, the most difficult
colour to match consistently in
packaging.
But when Plume came to us to
package their home WiFi system in a
way that mimicked the cool,
sophisticated urban dwelling, we
decided to embrace gray.
We were confident we could deliver
because of our on the ground
representation in China that assured
flawless delivery.
12. Brightly coloured packaging is
wonderful to behold. But it’s a
challenge to maintain colour
consistency when you’re
thermoforming, injection molding
and printing on a host of materials. In
this project, it needed to look not only
consistent, but effortless and natural.
To ensure perfection, we spent 2
weeks in China overseeing every
element of the packaging.
