most useful for me. I am receiving so much useful
information on a daily basis. Having information that I
want come directly to me is extremely valuable.

● making connections to influential people

existed
Which tool have you found most useful?

4. Diigo is amazing! I’ve been using to curate science content and annotate
the web efficiently.
I use it for almost every article I read now, bookmarking for future reads,
and highlighting important information. It’s great that I can make my
library public to share with students so they can see what I’m reading. I
will use this to assign readings throughout this school year. I also enjoy
following and viewing other’s lists. It’s great to see what others are
reading. “Social Bookmarking” was completely new to me, I really enjoy
it!

5. I found Glogster to be a useful virtual poster board
type tool, though it was difficult for me to format.
Using new tools is sometimes difficult and
frustrating, but the finished product was worth it. I
think I will actually use Glogster this year in a
project for my students to create thematic,
interactive online “poster board presentations”

6. I really enjoy the moodle online learning platform. As an
educator with a family, time management and availability is
so critical. The asynchronous format where I can work at my
own pace in my own setting really appeals to me. The
simple format and intuitive nature of the actual website also
make it very easy to view rubrics, communicate with the
professor, receive feedback and complete assignments. I
would be happy to work within a moodle online learning
platform again as it caters to my learning needs very well.

7. As a high school teacher in 2015, I am not sure I
understood the importance of having a social media
presence and PLN. I think after taking this course, I am
better prepared to make connections with other
professionals as well as my students. Being
“connected” in ways that I haven’t prior is going to be
critical in my development as an educator. I will use
many of these tools that I developed in my classroom
this year, and am anxious to see what develops!
