Accomplishments:
• Worked as Lead Mud Engineer in OIL’s Offshore Project, NEC Coast, Bay of Bengal in Jack-up rig after taking over Mud
Engineering Services from M/s M-I Overseas Ltd in July’85 till 1988.
• Rendered Mud Engineering Services successfully both in OIL’s Offshore Project, NEC Coast, Bay of Bengal & two wells
in Andaman sea & saved substantial amount of forex for India.
• Introduced Non-Invasive Drilling Fluids (NIF) successfully for drilling problematic shales in Oil’s operational areas.

2. • Introduced KCL-PHPA polymer mud successfully for drilling problematic swelling clays / shale in Oil’s operational
areas.
• Successfully drilled good number of wells in Thar Desert using salt saturated mud.
• As Head of Chemical Department, Duliajan from Oct’11, took a few new initiatives like transportation of barites
powder from store to wellsites through silos to minimize wastage / enhance operational efficiency, setting up of
Central Mud Plant for processing & re-use of well return mud to reduce pollution, introduction of environment
friendly mud & completion fluid chemicals & last but not the least introduction of Silica Fume for design of gas tight
cement slurry for cementing gas / High GOR wells successfully.
• Setting up of a dedicated corrosion study laboratory for in-house study & control of oil field related corrosion.
