Senior Superintendent and Operations Manager (1985-2016)
• Lead and direct all phases of commercial ground-up and remodels projects from conception to completion,
including new commercial construction, large retail centers and facilities, schools, food processing,
condominiums, wastewater treatment facilities, financial institutions, paper mills, dams, hotels, hospitals
and detention facilities
• Scrutinize and qualify each project; help prepare proposals and secure project, providing letters of intent
and processing of contracts
• Oversee site development, permitting, negotiations with city offices and rectify red tape issues that bring
project to fruition
• Develop crew of over 900 employees and interview, hire and direct 25-100 subcontractors on any given
project; delegate project responsibilities, evaluate performance and mediate conflicts
• Ensure construction is within engineering/architectural guidelines and safety regulations, maintaining
scheduling and resolution of issues
• Handle all aspects of negotiations; ascertain the needs of engineers, architects, general contractors, project
managers, owners, clients and/or developers through meetings and interviews; works with bidding and
estimating of each job

trade and keeping team motivated to complete work on time
• Oversee cost control, operating expenses, management fees, capital expenditures and infrastructure projects
for each property
• Assess property’s structural design, including superstructure and substructure
• Direct operations and management, including selection of site specific equipment and materials
• Review and interpret engineering reports, plans, blueprints, drawings and designs in detail; identify items
potentially not in compliance with building codes and accepted engineering practices; oversee field layout,
elevations and controls
• Facilitate daily meetings with subcontractors, ensuring everyone is on the same page
• Work with City Inspectors, ensuring construction is within code and compliance
