example-1
The popular vote
Status quo:
The United States elects an American president every four years using the electoral college, a tradition that has been repeated since the beginning of the nation. The system of electoral college gives each state a “proportionate” amount of votes based on their population. Since the electoral college is not equivalent to the popular vote, certain state’s votes do not matter as much compared to others. Causing a minority of people to make wide sweeping decisions for the nation.
Plan:
A social movement pushed strongly by politicians and political organizations to support the process of changing the electoral process to result in the popular vote electing the nation’s president. The process of amending the constitution is very unlikely, thus the National Popular Vote (NPV) plan is the most probable of succeeding. Informing society of the importance of fair elections and how all other social movements rely on good representatives, can potentially create a social movement to pressure representatives to pass the compact.
Plan in action/ Benefits:
Overall using the popular vote, everyone’s vote will be worth the same amount, the process of election will be simpler and cheaper, and create the most satisfied results for the majority of voters.
part 1: If people want government support with social issues that the majority of people agree with it is important to support a presidential election that is based on popular vote. There is already a NPV compact that is close to reaching its majority votes to past and change the national election. Not all the votes needed are reached and that is what I believe is still inadequate.
Im struggling with understanding if what I am proposing a good enough plan.

I am writing my essay on the need for stricter gun control laws in the United States. The amount of shootings that have happened in the year of 2022 is unacceptable, and with the Uvalde mass shooting killing innocent children and teachers, there needs to be change. This topic matters to anyone who lives in America because without a change in gun laws there will just be more terrible shootings and more lives lost.
In current breaking news, the House passed the gun control legislation that was brought forth after the Buffalo and Uvalde shootings. This package includes raising the gun purchasing age from 18 to 21, as well as banning the purchasing of high capacity magazines. Along with that, they want to tighten laws of the storage of firearms for residents and create more criminal penalties for those who break gun laws. In order for these to pass as laws, Senate needs to pass them which will be difficult due to members believing this to be unnecessary and unconstitutional. What is being done is a start, but it does not fix the gun problem in the U.S. No matter the law, there will still be illegal trafficking of guns, minors purchasing, and shootings. The laws need to be passed and need to be acted on ...

Running Head: JOB MARKET1
JOB MARKET 4
Job Market in the US
Student Name
Tutor’s Name
Date
The aim of this article was to assess the recovery of the US job
market after the pandemic. The article found that the US job
market has faced a lot of competition lately. Companies are
competing for talent and at the same time, workers are
competing to find good jobs. As of April, the US employers
4. added 428,000 jobs according to the Bureau of Labor statistics.
This reduced the unemployment rate to 3.6 percent, lowest
number seen. So the job market is very dynamic but with
unemployment below 4% nationally, there are lots of
opportunities for people with reasonable skills and experience.
However in a healthy economy like that one of the US we
expect to see higher number of jobs compared to the ones
provided. Population has however grown especially the working
age population and we expect a significant growth in jobs. In
the US, there is no such thing as a guaranteed job for life once
you’ve been hired, either, as is sometimes true in European and
Asian countries, whether by law or custom. The US labor force
is far more dynamic than in many other countries so
comparatively, the job market is better for workers in the US or
they would cling to their jobs more instead of moving from
company to company as often as we do.
American businesses which need higher skilled workers such as
software developers, plumbers and engineers are forced to pay a
premium but in return are quite selective, with many applicants
competing for these good jobs. On the other hand, businesses
which need lower-skilled workers (e.g., many restaurant jobs)
are much less selective, while paying a lot less. There are also
geographic differences in job markets. There are not a lot of
software developer jobs in Coffeyville (Kansas) but plenty in
Silicon Valley, Seattle or Austin, to give one example.
Likewise, there is little call for farm workers in Silicon Valley
but lots of them in Coffeyville.
This article used sampling method to assess the rate of
unemployment, they found that US unemployment is record low
at present around 3.6 percent and the number of positions are
fairly large for the number of applicants seeking jobs and it is
only the right matching to the right jobs. If you are looking at
software jobs, California continues to hold the sway with cities
like San Francisco, Silicon Valley, San Jose and San Diego etc.
media jobs are mire predominant in LA. Finance jobs are plenty
in New York, Charlotte, and Philadelphia. Dallas fit the bill for
5. an array of jobs. Semiconductor jobs more in Austin etc.
Startups plenty in California and Fintech startup’s in New York
etc., Boston is another attractive city. Cities like Chicago,
Houston continue to lag. This article provide valuable
information on employment patterns as well as how US job
market recover from recession. This information is useful to
business student as it provides critical data on employment
which is a critical component in any business

6. Visualization
The graph shows changes in job numbers at the state of every
downtime since World War II. It is evident that jobs plummeted
during the pandemic which saw employment falling faster than
any other post war recession. After the pandemic jobs started
growing.
How Data Benefits the Audience
With this information, the audience will have an idea of the job
market in the US.
They will know how recession affect the job market in the
country
This data open my audience mind on the job market patterns
over the years
Audience can use this data to determine whether their field of
study can benefit from the concept.
With this information, audience have an idea on when and
where to apply for a job.
Visuals and Language
I choose business students as my audience as employment affect
any business directly hence felt they need more information on
employment patterns.
Businesses fully rely on employees hence anything that affect
employment patterns must be considered and evaluated.
Use of visuals during my presentation helped my audience to
understand different dynamics of the concept. Visuals sticks in
mind better than written notes hence easy to understand.
Use of simple language as opposed to complex mathematics was
beneficial as I was addressing business students and needed
something they could understand.

Discussion
This exercise will combine some brainstorm session alongside
practice with the tests of evidence. It is divided into two parts
Part 1 - Initial Post (5 points) - Due Wednesday
At a bare minimum, you should post your policy paper
framework here. If you have a working draft of the paper,
please include it as an attachment. Additionally, please respond
to the following points:
Why the topic matters to you and/or your perceived audience
What has already been done to attempt solving the problem?
Why do you feel it's inadequate?
Any particular area you’re struggling with (such as broadening
or narrowing the scope of the topic)

may opt to use either of the topics of audiences you used in
Essay #2 and #3, or take it in an entirely direction. Ultimately,
you will be advocating for a specific, well-reasoned, feasible,

been building all quarter! Furthermore, it's a type of problem-
solution assignment that many of you are likely familiar with
and also will likely use outside of this class: Whether it's
arguing for a change to happen in your community (changing of
HOA bylaws; building of a new park or building), your college

of classes), or even your workplace (funding for a project;
opening a new position to expand your team; taking on a new
