2. Narrative
Equilibrium: This is where we see the main protagonist re-open the case for the
search for her missing brother and reevaluates the clues and information that
had been collected the first time round.
A disruption: This will be where the main protagonist meets the detective who
first was in charge of her brothers case and is now retired, but he is reluctant to
help her reopen the case.
Realization: This is where the audience follows the main protagonist and the
detective on the journey to find her brother but the clues do not lead anywhere
until she visits the detectives house uninvited and discovers something
peculiar.
Restored order: We see the protagonist discover the fact the detective was part
of the plan and that her brother has been hidden in the detectives house all
along. We see the protagonist follow the clues and be reunited with her brother.
3. Actors
Was in Gone Baby Gone:
Will bring in a similar
audience for a thriller
film.
In many teen films so will
interest a younger
audience who will relate
to the main protagonist.
An up and coming child
actor, in Room so will bring
an audience and Oscar
nominated.
4. Influence
We have taken inspiration from films such as Gone Girl, a thriller, which
uses suspense and the use of clues to find a character within the film.
Also Gone BabyGone is
similar to our film as it shares the kidnapping
storyline but we also share the twist at the
end of the film.
We also take mild Influence
fromTaken as it too involves
the kidnapping storyline.
5. Film Details
The target audience for our film is students and young adults with
ages between 15-30 as we feel that this is the type of audience we
would attract with our storyline and actors. Our film will be released in
January 2017 as this around award season. Our film will cost
£50million as this is what the budget will need to be to cover prices of
such things as actors and settings and is similar to other films of this
genre. We hope to hit a target of £100million in the box office. We will
have David Fincher directing our film as he has done a lot of thriller
and suspense films before such as Gone Girl.
