During the Reflection and Reunion event for Cohort 2 of the Leading GM - Leadership Development Programme Claire Tomkinsom (Wellbeing Development Lead - MACC) and Peta Stross (Head of Integration - UHSM) gave an overview of their work on System Leadership across South Manchester.
The approach they used enabled them to knock down the walls of the boxes that public services like to fit people within. Claire said "we really saw the value of shutting up, getting out of the way and trusting people to work with others in a different way. This involved an element of embracing chaos and developing an emerging strategy. Which is a better way of saying that we made an element of it up as we went along and recognised that this was the right thing to do".
