Belfort Instrument Company recently introduced their new DigiWx AWOSAV system, an automated surface observing system that measures weather elements like pressure, precipitation, wind and more and transmits data wirelessly. This patented system is the first that can instantly update any electronic device with current weather information. Used globally at airports, it is part of Belfort's new AWOS product line aimed at safer airspace and gathering meteorological data, and includes access to a voice network providing detailed weather reports via handheld receivers or computers.

Belfort Instrument Company recently
introduced the next evolution of Automated
Surface Observing Systems (ASOS) with the
DigiWx systems AWOSAV. Offering the same
functionality as other ASOS, the Digi gauges
weather readings including barometric
pressure, precipitation, dew
point, visibility, wind speed, and more, but
also allows data to be transmitted via wireless
connection.

The patented ASOS design marks the first vessel
able to transmit instant updates to virtually any
electronic device, allowing it to provide up-tothe-minute information regarding current
weather patterns in the area. Used by airports all
over the world, the DigiWx is part of Belfort
Instrument Company's new trademarked AWOS
product line, which is designed to provide a safer
airspace as well as to gather important
meteorological data. Included with each device is
access to the AWOS Voice network, which can be
accessed using a handheld receiver or personal
computer display terminal and provides detailed
information using voice transmission.
