Collaborative technology is a joint effort of multiple individuals or work groups
to accomplish a task or project. - Helps to enable collaborative communication
Where a group of people save all documents and files under one cloud or
Google Drive, where everyone on the team can access but only members of
the team not the public.
2. Collaborative Activities in the workplace
• Online Meetings – Through things such as skype or gotomeeting.com

office you can quickly have an online meeting instead of going tho

otherwise deadlines will be missed which means money will be lost and
the business is not running efficiently.
• Communication needs to be very efficient for Collaborative Technologies to
be at its most effective. As you need to tell colleagues that this documents
is completed and saves in this folder.
4. How will you use at your workplace
• As mentioned before, most of the methods of Collaborative Technologies
are being actively used at my current work.
• Google Drive / Google Docs / P – Drive / Project Management Systems/
Interactive Calendars are all used by everyone in the office, but also
restricting the public to use it.
• Interactive Calendar – If I have to arrange a meeting for my boss, I have to
check their calendar to see when they are available, Calendars need to be
up to date for this reason. My Calendar shows everyone in the office, so I
can see who is in the office or out on site (When and where they are) So if
a client calls up or comes in I can tell them accurately where they are,
when they can be contacted and the best method of contacting them.
