2. Process
This experiment was used in order to show some of
the basic platforming that would be in the final
products. First I had created a simple background by
just creating two blocks for the sky and ground,
followed with some simple platforms in order to
show off the platforming segment of the
experiment, for the character all I had made was a
little red ball, as i felt like this would be appropiate
enough for the purposes of the experiment, and
using the 8 bit character from the Irn-Bru
Advergame would be a bit much for the purposes of
the experiment. As well as animating this, I had
started to animate something basic in the
background by having a cloud slowly move past in
the background as the animation goes on.
3. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– The Basic Design will be expanded upon with this
experiment.
– The Basic Platforming will carry over.
4. Process
This experiement was an example of a character
sprites animation cycle, where they start running
before jumping up into the air. The process of
making this was quite simple, with the character’s
individual sprites being pre-made from the
advergame that I’d made a couple months ago.
They were remade with a new colour palette and
transferred onto a blank canvas, where the
individual sprites were put together in order to
create this small animation.
5. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– The Character Sprite and the Animation will likely
be carried over to the final product, however a 16
Bit Version could also be used.
