radiation, or CMB for short, is a faint
glow of light that fills the universe,
falling on Earth from every direction
with nearly uniform intensity.
3. When did CMB formed?

The CMB was created at a time in cosmic
history called the ‘Recombination Era’. The
universe had cooled to a temperature of
about 2,700 degrees Celsius, cool enough for
electrons and protons to “recombine” into
hydrogen atoms.
4. It is the residual heat of creation of the afterglow
of the big bang streaming through space, these last
14 billion years like the heat
from a sun warmed rock, reradiated at night.
