The Main Engine and the boiler are under operation simultaneously with all the other auxiliary
machinery such as Generators, pumps, air compressors, oil purifiers, heat exchangers, Air
conditioning plant and refrigeration plant, Operation overhauling and maintenance. All machinery
handles with first Assistant.
Job Profile:
 Responsible for performing routine maintenance of the machinery and equipment. This
included, changing oil and filters, All Equipment greasing, the steering gear, anchor
windlass, etc.
 Responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment required in the day to day
working
 Analysis of machine failures

2.  Estimation of maintenance costs
 Assessing the needs of equipment replacements, spare parts
 Assessment of the required tools for the maintenance of the equipment

parts.
 Responsible for performing routine maintenance. All machinery handles with first

 250hours routine maintenance .( clean the lube oil filter, clean the fuel oil filter, clean the
turbocharger air filter)
 1000hours routine maintenance. (crankcase inspection to be done, remove the fuel injector
and pressure test them, adjust the pressure and put back, change the turbocharger blower
and turbine side oil, check the tappet clearance, take the performance of the engine)
 8000hours routine maintenance.(remove cylinder heads and over, withdraw pistons and
clean. change piston ring, inspection big end bearing, overhaul turbocharger and renew the
ball bearing.)
 Conveyor routine maintenance plan.( check lubricate all bearing, universal joints and
pulley, check chain tension, wear and lubricate, check sprocket alignment wear and screw
set, check electrical connection at conveyor, check gear box and fill proper level, check flat
belt tension, wear and lacing.)
