Xue Bai has researched potential film locations for their AS level media studies coursework on filming a horror film opening sequence. The locations were chosen to visually represent horror film conventions through gloomy, dark, and mysterious appearances. The document displays the locations and the specific scenes that would be filmed at each location, leaving room for improvisation since most filming will be done outside in public and private areas. Further research still needs to be done to ensure any legal constraints are addressed, including obtaining permission to film at locations requiring owner or authority approval.

2. INTRODUCTION
For my AS level media studies coursework I have carried out potential location search. These
locations have potential to be used during the filming of my chosen film opening sequence.
Most of the locations visually represent the horror film conventions due to gloomy, dark and
sometimes mysterious appearance.
On the following pages I will display locations including the shoots that would be filmed there.
I have left space for improvisation due to the fact that most of the scenes will be filmed outside
in public and in front of privately owned shop.
Once I have select the best suitable locations I will carry out necessary research and find out
about legal constraints. For specific locations I will contact the owners or authority seeking
there permission's.
