2. Project Profile
Project # 1
Project Title : Make Ready engineering(MRE)
Client : Google Fiber
Software : SpidaCalc V6.
Employer : Bechtel India Pvt Ltd.
Role : QC & QA
Project Description:
This project mainly
The scope included in the MRE is to perform the pole load analysis, propose and prepare the remedies. If a
pole is failing its stress limit (100% in case of existing poles, 80% in case of new poles); Create a permit
package with a logical grouping of poles (not exceeding 30 poles per permit) and provide the permit to Pole
Owner for approval.
Generally, the pole analysis deals with the safety factor of the pole based on the Wind rating provided by US
government and the actual load exist on pole. Based on these parameters we have to analyze the pole strength
and the life span of pole's. By using the analysis provided by Bechtel, the NES will replace the pole’s based on
their strength and span.
Project # 2
Project Name : AT&T Communications
Client : AT&T Communications, USA
Duration : Dec 2014 to till now
Applications : BSTCAD (Micro station) & O-Calc-Pro
Description:
Pole loading and BAU: O-Cal pro software used.
pole loading is total pole weight and span tension of cable’s “Span Rated Strength to Apply as Tension”
The O-Cal Pro product is installed with default values that do not meet AT&T requirements, A file has to be
prepared to set the values correctly.
Pole removed are proposed there are different work action codes are used AT&T.There three type of work
action codes used.
LightGig :
AT&T is the leading Telecom giant in USA, we at Cyient received the offshore work which in described below in detail:
Engineering Work orders were issued by the onshore team to us which describes the general description on how, what,
when, where and why a EWO project needs to be issued. These guidelines are intended to help the OSP design engineer in
their day-today activities.
Cable Metallic – this section contains reference charts and coding tables to be used as an aid for metallic cable selection
based on the field situation and the type of the construction. Metallic cables are cables having copper or aluminum
conductors. Different cable sheaths are used in different phases of outside plant facility construction, i.e., aerial, buried,
building service entrances, laterals from aerial, buried and underground plant, main underground and stubs or ties. The
field situation encountered should dictate which cable sheath is required.
As per EWO we used to place the Fiber optic cable types and size based upon the different outside plant environments
(i.e. aerial, underground, buried, building entrance, indoor) and as well as per different technologies. Fiber optic cable
designs change periodically due to technical and mechanical improvements.

3. Roles and Responsibilities:
Involved in project specifications
Performing quality checks on the pole loading and network designing
Adopting new process strategies
Resolving technical issues in liaison with client
Provide technical support to the team
Coordination with all the support functions
Project # 3
Project Name : FairPoint Communications
Client : FairPoint Communications, Portland, USA
Duration : Feb 2014 to Dec 2014
Applications : AutoCAD Civil, G-Technology & Intelect (Micro Station V8 (Bentley)
Description:
FairPoint Communications, Inc. is a leading communications provider of high-speed Internet access, local and
long-distance phone, television and other broadband services to customers in communities across 18 states.
Through its fast, reliable data network, FairPoint delivers data and voice networking communications solutions
to residential, business and wholesale customers. FairPoint’s resilient IP-based network in northern New
England, provides business customers a fast, flexible, affordable Ethernet connection that supports applications
like video conferencing and e-learning
The scope of this project is to capture cable, conduit and manhole plats and other records of certain FairPoint
telecommunication network facilities and features. Data will be captured from spread sheets (Pole Data) and
scanned Tiff (.tiff) images and will be converted to FairPoint’s existing G/Comms data format.
And perform conflation work for G/Comms network data for some wire centres in New Hampshire. This data
will be conflated to Navteq land base and migrated to FairPoint’s existing G/Comms data format. And
migration of the data from existing StellarRAD platform to upgraded G/Technology application.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Involved in project specifications
Performing quality checks on the converted and conflated data
Adopting new process strategies
Resolving technical issues in liaison with client
Provide technical support to the team
Coordination with all the support functions
Project # 3
Project Name : Qwest Conflation
Client : Century Link, US.
Duration : May 2011 to Feb 2014
Applications : AutoCAD MAP3D2011
- 3 -
4. Description:
Qwest Conflation project is to match the existing data (Land base and Plant data) to the updated data with
respect to the Teleatlas data (GDT) and other source like Ortho and USGS quads.Qwest gives the Input data in
Shape format. Data conflation will takes place in two steps. First one is conflating the Land base data so that it
overlays the GDT data. For this we need most recent Ortho Images.
Second step is Plant conflation, as soon as the wire centre accepted in Land base it comes to Plant conflation.
All the conflation of the Plant data must do using the Remote desktop technology only.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Involved in the basic conflation process (Land base and Plant).
Provided Technical clarifications for the team members.
Planning of Aerial and Underground network by studying the Area and analysing the Telecom network
poles, Manholes, and pits etc.
Quality check/Quality Analysis of the design drawings as per client requirements.
STRENGTHS:
Ability to work and succeed autonomously and collaboratively
Highly motivated and Enthusiastic
Process Oriented and Methodical
Willingness to learn
