It is with pleasure that I recommend BJ Carter. Having worked directly with BJ for three years, I
have firsthand experience and knowledge of his leadership style, ability to resolve complex
problems and achieve results. In his role as Managing Director US, BJ was responsible for all
aspects of the xwave US operation. His strategic objective was to provide access to new
markets by penetrating the US market with the services and solutions offered by xwave.
Additionally, he was responsible for leading the Justice and Public Safety vertical for all of North
America.
Being geographically removed with minimal support, BJ achieved the objectives for his business
unit and was often recognized as over performing in many strategic areas. Over the seven
years BJ led the US Business unit, he recovered several failing large scale IT projects that were
discovered, created an international application development model, and led the business
development efforts of xwave in the United States. He helped expand the delivery reach of
xwave from Atlantic Canada to be recognized in the industry as a company that is capable of
delivering solutions across North America.
In addition to his ability to achieve business results, I was particularly appreciative of his
business acumen and style of leadership. Over the three year period of working together,
xwave underwent numerous organization and leadership changes. During this period BJ was a
positive influence in the boardroom and amongst his peer group. When strategic decisions
were reached BJ consistently demonstrated a level of professionalism that was very beneficial.
In my experience some executives become frustrated and distracted by the degree and pace of
change; BJ didn’t, he remained focused and provided leadership to his team.
It is with great confidence that I recommend BJ Carter. I am certain that he will gain the respect
of his people, his clients and successfully achieve the objectives he is assigned.
