He had to go to prison.

He's in service for his country.
He's making the world a better place

He's sick and needing care.
He holds my picture to his heart
And I know I'm loved.

My Daddy isn't here ...
He lives far, far away.
I wish I saw him much, much more
But I know I'm loved.

My Daddy isn't here ...
He died and it was sad.
Every day I remember him
And I know I'm loved.

My Mummy raised me from a baby,
I haven't met my Dad.
My family might be different
But I definitely know I'm loved!

Teacher's Notes
As we know, not every child
in our class will have a father who is with
them or to whom they can give a gift on
Father's Day. I created this slideshow to
provide you with an opportunity to reflect
and discuss it in a way that is relevant and
sensitive to the particular age and needs of
the students in your care. Every child needs
to know they are loved regardless of their
situation in life and every child needs to
learn how to be kind and sensitive to those
in different circumstances from their own.
