center of movie studios and movie stars, the word
“HOLLYWOOD” is often used as a metonym for
the cinema of united states.
3. In 1911 the first studio was established and by 1920
hollywood was making 80% of the world’s films.
Much of the movie industry remained in hollywood,
although the district’s outward appearance has
completely changed.

OSCARS is an annual American awards ceremony
honouring achievements in the film industry.
Winners are awarded with the OSCARS.

Oscars are presented by The Academy Of Motion
Picture Arts And Sciences.
Emmy awards are given for the television mainly.
Tony awards are given for the acheivements in theatres.
Grammy awards are for the music and recording.
