Explore load spreading using FEMAP. With external data, such as a pressure map, we will show how this data can be imported into FEMAP and applied to your model as a pressure load. Pressure plots can be made to compare to the external data. Load summation will also be performed to show how well the loads match the provided data.

Data Surface Editor
• Data Surface Editor used to create “Data Surfaces” in FEMAP
• “Data Surfaces” are used to apply variable loading conditions using several
predefined methods
• Helpful / useful info can be found @:

Data Surface Variations
• Along Coord: Choose coordinates in space & apply value
• Between Coord: Enter # corners & variation type, apply
value
• Output Map: Map output from one mesh to another
• Mesh: Select node / element ID & value or “expression”
• Tabular: Define Table size & enter values
• Arbitrary 3D: Use points in scale and distribute using
“Inverse Weighted Interpolation”
• Equation: Enter a FEMAP equation and store for any
loading condition
