What are The Qualities of Nunchucks for Sale_.pdf
1. What are The Qualities of Nunchucks
for Sale?
Nunchucks are a traditional Japanese martial arts weapon consisting of an iron ball attached to
the end of a short wooden stick. These weapons came into use in the late 16th century and
served to either serve as protection for themselves or their wielders or as offensive weapons
against the enemy. Nunchucks were also used by ninja at night time, using it like a flashlight.
Nunchucks for sale come in varying lengths ranging from 15 cm up to 1 meter and can hold up
to 12 kg of weight! A popular belief is that nunchucks originated somewhere between 600 BC
2. and 400 AD but this has never been proven. A new form of nunchucks is the keychain
nunchucks (they are also sometimes referred to as 'nunchaku keychain'). They consist of a pair
of nunchucks connected by a short chain.
One can be held in each hand and used as normal, but besides that, these 'keychains' have
become extremely popular. In the 1980s, keychain nunchucks became part of youth fashion all
over the world and were widely popular until sometime in the late 1990s. The number of injuries
caused by keychain nunchucks has decreased greatly due to many countries banning them. In
some martial arts, throwing solid objects is banned so students use something similar to
nunchuck instead.
Qualities of Nunchucks for Sale:
Nunchucks are a martial arts weapon that can be used with two poles, which can be held by two
of the practitioner's hands. The Nunchaku is made from a long piece of wood or metal, between
3 and 8 ft long for farming work. They were originally intended as an agricultural tool with
shorter versions being used in combat. The blade or stick is attached to either end of the sticks
by either a rope or chain wrapped around them (but today wire cable). Here are 5 five major
qualities of nunchucks for sale:
1. Weight: (How much does the nunchaku weigh?)
Nunchuck weights vary from 3 to 5 kilos. The heavier ones can be used in serious training. They
are useful for kinks.
2. Thickness: (How thick is the wood)
The main stick and shaft are usually 1" - 2" thick but other components can be 1/4", 3/8", 1/4", or
1/8" in diameter as well as in many different lengths and special shapes.
3. Length: (How long are the two arms)
The size of nunchaku depends on the level of skill of the user. In Japanese martial arts, where
the nunchaku is an important weapon, they can have a length of 5' from end to end. However,
for Western use and safety (in general), I would recommend a 3 ft length.
4. Shape: (What is the shape of your weapon?)
The shape of nunchaku has not really changed since ancient times when they were made from
tree trunks. For most applications, you want a cylindrical shape for strength and ease when
spinning them. Tall sticks with a more spherical shape are very popular in more decorative and
arts nunchaku.
3. 5. Material: (What is the material of your weapon?)
Generally, standard wood such as oak is used for nunchuck shafts and handles but over time
and especially from military units using them in training, many other materials have been
developed including but not limited to steel, copper, rubber, plastic, fiberglass, composite
materials such as Kevlar™ and carbon fiber as well as wood substitutes like recycled paper
pulp.
The Best Martial Art Weapons!
The nunchaku (also spelled nunchaku) is an Okinawan weapon, consisting of two wooden or
metal sticks connected at one end by a short rope or chain. Today, the nunchaku is often used
for its novelty and entertainment value but it was originally intended as a serious weapon.
It has been adapted in modern times to be used in iaido martial arts demonstrations; Shimabuku
Sōkon taught the use of the weapons to his son Chōjun who later passed on his knowledge to
William Ewart Fairbairn during wartime. The nunchaku originated in Okinawa, an island south of
Japan. It was originally used for farming and later as a weapon during the Ryukyu Kingdom
period. The Okinawans soon found that connecting two sticks with a chain could be easily used
for fighting.
When Okinawa came under the rule of the Shimazu clan in 1609, nunchaku techniques were
prohibited; however, they remained popular and were practiced secretly. In modern times,
nunchaku is commonly associated with the martial art of karate or kobudo (depending on the
region). They are usually constructed from wood or metal and connected by a short-length of
chain.
