Development, troubleshooting and component-level repair of multi-channel RF cardiac ablation
generators. Performed design verification testing (DVT) of hardware, software and systems.
Performed installation qualification (IQ) of test equipment, prototyped electronic circuitry, and
designed and built test fixtures to simulate the electronic functions of ablation catheters.

Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Document Control
departments of this biomedical instrument manufacturer. Executed facilities layout, hired
production personnel , and acquired production and test equipment. Devised, designed and
implemented test simulators and assembly fixtures to expedite and streamline both
manufacturing and test processes. Authored and maintained documentation and controls to
meet FDA requirements. Coordinated UL and CSA agency approvals. Reviewed new designs
for manufacturability/testability, and executed product transfers from R&D to Production.
Member of Change Control (CCB) and Materials Review (MRB) Boards. Called on to perform
Production Manager duties, implemented production flow improvements and process changes
resulting in an increase of first-time throughput from 43% to 91% and significant increase in
production capacity within a two-month period. Returned to service as an Independent
Contractor in the capacity of Project Manager (3/1992 – 1/1993) and, upon assignment
completion, continued as Technical Writer until 10/1993.
