The Tribhuvan University (TU) that adopted the semester system at the master´s level since last year is now mulling Open and Distance Learning System (ODLS) at the TU Central Campus.

The Tribhuvan University (TU) that adopted the semester system at the master´s level since last
year is now mulling Open and Distance Learning System (ODLS) at the TU Central Campus.
Organizing a press conference on Monday, the TU officials said learning through the use of
telecommunication has already been implemented in the Education Faculty, said TU Rector
Guna Nudhi Neupane.“The ODLS will be introduced in the Valley-based constituent colleges
once we run it sucessfully at the central campus,” he added.
According to Neupane, though the country´s oldest varsity is being criticized for its failure to
maintain the academic year since 2006, the semester and the distance learning system is expected
to be effective.
