PROFFESIONAL EXPERENCE
GRADUATE DESIGN ENGINEER-I August 2013 – December 2015
Department of Mechanical Engineering,
Wichita State University, Wichita, KS.
Coordinated New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, resulting in optimizing the use of mechanical
sub systems for commercial aircrafts.
Responsible for documenting engineering changes made to the designs and establishing efficient
approaches for production.
Introduced new learning methods to ensure total comprehension for employees using a computational
software, Mathematical Dynamic Modelling (MADYMO) to analyze the occupant dynamic response for
Hybrid II 50th percentile male dummy, FAA Hybrid III 50th percentile male dummy and the ES2RE dummy.
Developed new learning center for reading assistance by closely monitoring experiments based on
analysis testing of Bomb Calorimeter, Centrifugal pump and Diesel Engine equipment’s.
Used Microsoft Excel to develop inventory tracking spreadsheets and maintain stock.
Developed and enforced standards, procedures and compliance with respect to Inventory using OSHA
standards and efficiently decreasing the risk factor of employees involved in production.
Performed competitive analysis on 3D Models to make recommendations for future improvements to
avoid technical complications using ECN and DFMA concepts using BDI tool.
Performed crash worthiness analysis for part 23 dynamic seat certification according to Federal
aviation Regulation (FAR) for both forward and side facing seats by measuring the pelvis acceleration,
lumbar load, thoracic trauma index and kinematics of the anthropomorphic test dummies in order to
ensure improvements and safety for aircraft seat system and interiors.
SKILLS USED: Catia V5R20, MADYMO, DFSS, DFMA, FMEA, ADAMS, ANSYS.
DESIGN ENGINEER May 2011-July 2013
TATA Advanced Systems Ltd.,
Hyderabad, India.
2. Performed structural analysis on Dolphin flipper fin and Turbo Fan Blade airfoils using
FLUENT/GAMBIT and conducted research to test and analyze equipment and system feasibility,
design, operation and performance.
Carefully selected manufacturing methods, fabrication and product designs by performing analysis of
material properties and structure of the airfoil, especially the hexagonal chiral honeycomb structure.
Worked closely with Machinists and Designers with the concept of Bernoulli’s Principle defining and
recommending design modifications to eliminate machine and system malfunctions while
manufacturing of an airfoil using FMEA and Control Charts.
Identified the most efficient and acceptable resolutions to complex engineering problems such as angle
of attack, density of the air, speed of the flight and the size and shape of the wing.
Planned, scheduled and coordinated detailed phases of large-scale projects involving design of airfoils.
Maintained open and effective communications with project teams to increase productivity.
Performed cost optimization by implementing DFMA.
Formulated process drawings, process flowcharts, ECN documents with good interpretation applying
DFMA and GD&T techniques.
SKILLS USED: DFSS, FLUENT/GAMBIT, FMEA, Control Charts, BDI, Rapid prototyping, Stratasys, MSA.
