2. Established in 2012, Lakshyam is a NGO that uplifts children and women of at-
risk communities through education & employment. Our purpose of existence is
to enhance the lives of disadvantaged children and women, and to offer a
positive direction and a healthier approach towards life.
Currently functional in 11 states of India with 13 centres, Lakshyam’s
'Butterfly: Child Welfare & Education' program offers holistic
education to children, 'Lakshyam Toy Library' is a need-based
approach and 'Rooh: Awakening Women’s Soul' is designed to
empower women via awareness, initiation and action.to work for
child development and women empowerment across India.

• Despite the bleak socio-economic background that these children
come from, they dare to dream big and want to change things

• Raashi’s work highlights the urgency of the situation at hand. At a
time when government is introducing various schemes and
programs to educate children, organizations like Lakshyam ensure
that the schemes reach down to the people who need them the
most.
• The idea of education and induction into the formal system is very

4. VISION
• To empower women in the form of skill
development in handicrafts and to carve for the
products
• To create a model for the slum communities wherein
all the street children to be brought out of begging , rag
picking or any other trade involve and to provide them
a remedial education and direction through which they
are enrolled in government school and move towards
right direction.

•Around 25 children are brought out of begging.
•70 rag pickers are brought out of rag picking profession.
•7 children are enrolled in private school- ESW category.
•More than 200 are enrolled in government school.
•5 students are employed in a professional dance group.
•Around 13 special cases are taken under medical care.

• Around 100 women are now economically independent.
• Revival of old traditional Indian handicrafts
• 50 self help groups have been created
• 30 women have been credited as entrepreneurs.

15. LAKSHYAM TOY LIBRARY
'Lakshyam Toy Library' is one of the main programs of Lakshyam that
distributes toys and books from the privileged children to the not-
so-privileged ones. Toy Boxes are set up in several private
schools in Delhi and each child donates a toy and/or book that is
then delivered to the 13 tie-up Centres/NGOs
across 11 states.
LakshyamToy Library Centres have been opened in
the rural districts of states like Delhi, Tamil
Nadu, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand,
Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The other needed books are sourced as per
the regional need.

• Proper education facilities for
the children ensuring a safe future.
• Associations with corporate regarding their CSR activities will
ensure growth and development of the centers with each
centre having their own funds and allotments.

24. Goal
• By 2018 December to enroll our 150 students of Vasant Kunj
and Ghaziababd in government school.
• To find 5 corporates for our 5 centers , one for each with an
overall budget of Rs 1.5 crore i.e 25 lakhs from each

project - Children are out of rag picking & begging. Children
are being enrolled in school. Decrease in drop put rate of
