technician competency, and interdivisional coordination.

maintenance periods within stated guidelines and time expectations.

through personal one-on-one training and by leading formal large group training seminars.

• Qualified and performed the duties of Engineering Watch Supervisor; man in charge in Engine Room

Reactor Operator/Technician 2012 - 2014
Operated nuclear reactor on submarine on 2 overseas deployments and several testing operations. Maintained
strict focus on plant parameters for long periods of time to ensure safety of the reactor and ship. Successfully
performed over 3,000 hours of maintenance on complex reactor controls systems that allowed ship to meet all
movement requirements.
• Successfully operated and maintained complex engineering equipment on reactor plant, electric plant,
and engine room in accordance with operating procedures and technical manuals having never caused
any damage or violated any procedure.
• Responded quickly to casualties by taking individual actions and coordinating actions with others at
precise times.
• Provided feedback to Senior Leadership on ways to improve maintenance practices and operating
standards during Senior Leadership meetings and through formal written reports.
• Prepared maintenance packages and quality assurance paperwork for the successful completion of
maintenance.

• Organized fundraisers, which included BBQ’s, raffles, and sale of snacks and merchandise, to raise
funds from an initial $3,000 to over $20,000.
• Organized events, including Christmas parties, 4th
of July parties, Post Deployment parties, and sporting
events to raise and maintain the morale and welfare of the crew and their families.
• Coordinated several volunteer projects in the city of Providence, RI, Groton, CT, and Manama, Bahrain.
