Originally from Ponte di Legno (Brescia) in the Lombardy region, Chef
Antonio has traversed the globe in his culinary adventures. Beginning his
career in 1987 at the Vissani, a 2-star Michelin restaurant in Orvieto, he
crossed the Atlantic to join the famous Rex Il Ristorante in downtown Los
Angeles, the preferred destination of Hollywood stars. In 1999, Chef Antonio
co-owned Il Baretto in Sydney, Australia, which was recognized as Sydney
Morning Herald’s Best Café Restaurant in 2001. This world class chef
whose culinary skills have been built up having spent more than 25 years in
kitchens in Italy, USA, Germany, Australia and Thailand and now Singapore,
is ready to take Prego to new heights.
Despite being away from his native town in Milan, Chef Facchinetti remains
true to his Italian culinary roots and heads back home occasionally to
sample and explore the best and most traditional Italian favourites. This
