1. Evaluation
For my campaign I created 3 products, a newspaper article, a Instagram page
and a poster. I created a newspaper so it could be distributed within local
shops and newsagents so it would get the news to the older part of the target
audience, it would also create word of mouth within their family. In the article
I stated the address of the boxing club and also some images to draw them in
and get them excited by the club. The second product I made was a social
media account, I created an Instagram page. The reason I created this is
because young people use their phones constantly throughoutthe day, so I
thought if I created this it would be more beneficial for the campaign. Also my
Instagrampagewould get a lot of views becausenot justyoung people are on
social media, there are a lot of adults who are using their phones throughout
as well, so hopefully I would get a large audience looking at my page. I have
uploaded pictures and videos to the page to show the target audience and
anyonecoming across it what wedo and what we are about. Chris page has
gained an extra 150 likes and 50 followers from my campaign which is a great
outcome in the firstmonth. For my final productI created posters, I thought
these would be a good idea because people walk pastshop windows
numerous times a day so by putting them in shop windows I hopeto grow my
audience. I made 100 posters and distributed within local shops, making 100
posters was a good idea becausethe town where the club is isn’t very big. I
thought putting them in the town was a good idea because hundreds of people
go every day so there will be more of a chance of people seeing my posters.
The things I would change next time is that I would make a Twitter and
Facebook account to try and gain a larger audience. I would do this because
most people in today’s society have every social media accountand they have
a much larger chance of seeing and interacting with my page. I would also like
to create more posters and I wouldn'tjustput them in local shop windows I
would go further and distribute them regionally hopefully to expand my
audience.
Response to the newspaper
Before releasing the newspaper I sent it to a few people and having them give
me feedback a was a big help. When Itwas then officially released the
feedback from shops and newsagents was outstanding and justwhat I wanted.
One shop owner told me that a lot of people who bought it werearound 40-50
so I aimed it to the right group for this particular product.
Response to the Instagram page
2. Upon the release of the Instagram page I had people how I trusted to give me
honest feedback they gave me a few tweaks to improveon which now come to
thinking helped me as these were some of the things that my target audience
said they liked and whatdrew them in like the bio on the page which had the
address and website which would give them more information.
Response to the posters
The posters were a good help to promote the boxing club. They broughtin a
lot of good attention as they were distributed within local shops and through
peoples doors. Theseposters created word of mouth within homes in the local
area which is one of the reason this campaign has been successful.
Analysis of the full campaign
I released the Instagrampagefirstas I thoughtthis was a good idea as
everyonehas a smartphone or tablet so I knew this was going to be the most
popular product. I now know I should have expanded on whatsocial media
platforms I used like Facebook or twitter. Another reason I thought it would be
a good idea to release the Instagram firstis becausethe younger generation of
my target audience would be able to interact with the page and create word of
mouth within school. I then released the newspaper article becauseI thought
once I had caught the younger generations attention I wanted older people to
notice the campaign. With the newspaper article I took into consideration that
not many people would buy newspapers and it was mostly the older
generations who would buy it. I wish I made the front cover to the newspaper
to catch more peoples eye and intrigue them into reading my article. Finally I
created a poster to hand out and stick them in shop windows. I distributed
these last because I wanted to make sureI got everyone’s attention and make
every talk about the boxing club.
