As the Accounts Payable Manager from December 2014 to November 2015, I planned and performed vendor reconciliations to ensure financial statements complied with IFRS. I motivated and trained my AP assistants to provide quality service and further their development. I also planned payments to efficiently manage cash flow, strengthened vendor relationships, and worked with purchasing to resolve mismatched postings, increasing the accuracy of reported liabilities.

Duties:
 Plan and perform vendor reconciliations to ensure that financial statements are fairly
presented in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
 Motivate, train and supervise AP assistants to reinforce quality of service, and build on
their professional development.
 Planning and scheduling of payments to ensure cash flow was managed efficiently and
effectively.
 Strengthening existing vendor relationships and negotiating extended payment terms.
 Working with purchasing team on resolving any discrepancies in the accounts payable
ledger such as mismatched postings.
Achievement: Identified the root cause for mismatched postings and took
action to rectify, increasing the accuracy of the company’s liability position.
