3.  The meaning of PHARMACY is the art,
practice, or profession of preparing,
preserving, compounding, and
dispensing medical drugs.
 India is the largest provider of generic
drugs globally. Indian pharmaceutical
sector supplies over 50% of global
demand for various vaccines, 40% of
generic demand in the US and 25% of
all medicine in the UK.

4.  Pharmacists are healthcare
professionals who specialize in the right
way to use, store, preserve, and provide
medicine.
 The pharmacist plays a vital role and
acts as a key chain between a physician
and the patient.
 After a doctor, the pharmacists are the
only professionals in the health sector
and without a pharmacist the total health
sector will collapse.

5.  Salaries and job opportunitie-
Pay scale should be reasonable and competitive for every
specialty of the pharmaceutical field to prevent exploi-
tation since the salaries are considerably less in private
hospitals, community pharmacies and the industry.

6. JOB OPPORTUNITIE-
 Job opportunities for Pharmacist
in india is very less comparing to
other country.
 We can find Bsc, Msc degree
holder more than Pharmacist in
pharma companies.
 If we talk about medical
marketing, we find B.com, B.A.,
12th passout more than
Pharmacist.

7.  Pharmacist himself
responsible for the bad
condition of the
pharmacists.
Some major reasons
are following-

8.  Some pharmacist gives his Pharmacy licence to
uneducated persons in rent to open chemist store
which is completely illegal.
 In India, mostly in rural areas, we easily find
unducated chemist storekeepers who did’t know
even ‘P’ of Pharmacy.

9.  Corrupt officers have a big hand in ruining the
Pharma sector.
 The Jaipur ACB team arrested the drug inspector
Sindhu Kumari, who made recovery under the guise
Of inspecting medical shops. She used to collect 5000
Rupees every month from each medical store under her.

10.  The government of India’s loose mechanism
towards pharmacy is also a major reason for the
pharma sector’s poor condition.

11.  There are many such pharmacy colleges in India that do
the work of awarding degree diplomas sitting at home.
PCI should take strict action on them.

13. STOP PHARMA RENTING-
 As per Section 42 of the Pharmacy act, 1948 no
person other than a registered pharmacist shall
compound, prepare, mix or dispense any medicine
on the prescription of a medical practitioner.

15.  Colleges are worried of PCI
 Chemist are worried of D.I.(Drug inspector).
 Pharmacy passout are worried of Registration.
 Registered Pharmacist are worried of JOB.
