1. THE ALPHABET

2. Alphabets:-
• There are 26 letters in the English alphabet.
• We always begin our name and surname with
Capital Letters.
• For example :- My name is Anmol Sharma.

4. LETS GUESS THEIR NAMES :-
• CAPITAL :- ALLIGATOR
• SMALL :- alligator

5. LETS GUESS THEIR NAMES :-
CAPITAL NAME :- APPLE
SMALL NAME :- apple

6. LETS GUESS THEIR NAMES :-
CAPITAL NAME :- LION
SMALL NAME :- lion

7. 1. When we want to arrange the words in Alphabetical Order, we see their first
letters.
2. First position is acquired by that word whose first letter comes before any other
word’s first letter.
3. let us understand with and example :-
Fan ; Van ;Buffalo
The first letter of Fan is F
The first letter of Van Is V
The first letter of Buffalo is B
The letter B comes before F and V so B for buffalo will come first
Then comes F for Fish and V for Van comes last.

10. Alphabetical Order:-
• What to do when two words start with the same letter?
For example:- Frog and Fish.
We see the second Letter of the word.
The second letter of Frog is ‘r’.
The second letter of Fish is ‘i’ .
‘i’ comes before ‘r’ therefore Fish comes before Frog.

• The other letters are called consonants.
