TRADITIONAL MARKETING
Traditional marketing refers to any type of marketing that
isn’t online. This means print, broadcast, direct mail,
phone, and outdoor advertising like billboards. From
newspapers to radio, this method of marketing helps reach
targeted audiences.
DIGITAL MARKETING
Digital marketing is the act of promoting products
and services through digital channels, such as
social media, SEO, email, and mobile apps. Any
form of marketing that involves electronic devices
is considered digital marketing.

Traditional Marketing Digital Marketing

 Since moving from traditional to digital marketing, brands are able to target consumers on a multitude of levels,
from the basics (age, location, job and education level) to lifestyle segmentation (preferences, hobbies, wants,
needs, likes and dislikes). They’re also able to retarget consumers who have clicked on previous ads, visited their
website and more through pixel-based and list-based tracking methods. Traditional advertising just can’t beat it.
 Digital marketing reflects the future of every business. Those who adapt to online marketing can beat the wave of
digitalization with ease and ensure an uninterrupted flow of business activities.
 According to statistics, the growth of the Indian e-commerce market is pushing to Rs 7 trillion by 2023 due to the
pandemic and multiple lockdowns. This strongly suggests that the growth of digital marketing is on an upward
trend and has positively impacted businesses as well as the lives of people.
 India has the 2nd largest number of internet users in the world. The internet’s penetration has reached outstanding
numbers in the country. By 2023, the number of active Indian internet users is expected to grow up to almost 666
million in India and higher than 5.3 billion on a global level. This indicates an online shift for a larger share of
people, making it sensible and opportunistic for retail brands to venture into the digital marketing space.
