3. 1. Scope
This specification describes the requirement for the design, fabrication, inspection, testing and supply
of Knock-Out Drum, Tag No V-002 as in accordance with ASME Code Section VIII Division 2, 2013
Edition.

3. Design Specifications
3.1 Design shall be made in accordance with ASME Code Section VIII Division 2, 2013 Edition and
the attached Pressure Vessel Data Sheet.
The design method shall comply with the requirements of Part 4 – Design-By-Rules Method of
the Code.
3.2 The vessel shall be installed on board an offshore production platform located in Indonesian
Water.
Based on experience with comparable equipment operating under similar conditions, fatigue
analysis of Knock-Out Drum Tag No V-002 is not required, as in accordance with Part 5 Para
5.5.2.2 of the Code.
3.3 Vessel shall be for Non-lethal service
3.4 Contents: Oil, Water and Gas. Density of Contents - 920 kg/m3
3.5 Lowest one day minimum one day mean temperature at installed location + 22 deg C.
Minimum Design Metal Temperature – 0 deg C
3.6 Pilot Operated Pressure Relief Valve shall be provided for this vessel. The User shall be
responsible for the design, supply, construction and installation of the required Pressure Relief
Valve.

Skirt / Base Plate / Gusset, etc : SA 36M
Deflector : SA 36M
SA105M N material shall have max. C Content of 0.25% and shall be UT tested to SA388
All materials shall be selected and to be acceptable in accordance with Part 3 of the Code
