I am currently residing in Palm Desert,California looking to relocate or travel for the rightcareer opportunity.
You will find in my resume a listof my accomplishments and experience in mission critical industries such as
Healthcare,Clinical Consulting,Information TechnologyConsulting,and Software Development.These experiences
range from entry level Computer Operations to CIO and Sr. Vice-President.
A hands on program,projectand staff managementhistoryin small,VC funded start-up companies,and large
companies such as Cerner,Tenet,Dell and FCG provides me with experience to guide,to follow and/or lead IT
projects and staffing required to successfullyexecute them.
At Orion Health, I built the Network Operations Center (literally) from the ground up to provide "eyes on glass"
24x7x365 monitoring,alerting and escalation for Orion’s products.I had the chance to architect the NOC from
infrastructure,staffing,process,procedures and training to meetand exceed “four 9s” clientexpectations.
Before taking over the NOC Director’s role,I created, hired,mentored and trained the Orion Direct Secure Messaging
Operations team thatprovisioned 23 HIE organizations with over 400 HCO/Participants to be part of the Direct Trust
and Orion HISP. Along those lines,I provided leadership to meetand exceed the audit requirements for
ENHAC/Direct Trust Accreditation.
During my tenure at Orion Health, I closelyassisted and supported the SaaS and Managed Services Vice President
to provide infrastructure and operations support in a cloud based environment,Amazon Web Services (AWS) and
multi-tenantarchitecture for IT services across the US.
In addition,I shared,directed and executed the vision to create an ITSM team that follows ITIL principles to meet
SLAs for Information TechnologyServices. I also provided direction to Orion ClientSupportServices mentoring and
training the upcoming dedicated CSS Director.I guided the CSS team to improve KLAS s cores mentoring and
training a team of ClientSupport Services Managers.Using customer supporttools such as Jira and Remedy
creating easy to use alerts,flowcharts and customizing visual ticketstatus dashboards,we keptour clients aware of
ticket status and resolution.
Prior experiences include working for Dell as the Tenet Information Services Director for one of their Trauma
Hospitals in Palm Springs,California,working for a clinical process improvementconsulting firm,and working for one
of the top health care software companies provided clientrelationship (C-suite level) management,project
managementand program management.
Having worked at Cerner Corporation for over 10 years provided me with training,education and experience with
large implementations from the clinical perspective using leading edge technology. I was responsible for overseeing
Cerner upgrades and operations amongstother responsibilities.
My experience as one of the early Managers for private and venture capital funded Startup Companies in the
Healthcare field provided me with the opportunity to run the infrastructure,build the methodology,provide clinical
process improvementconsulting and prepared Bridge Medical and EMPATH Consulting to be acquired by one of the
largestHealthcare software companies and consulting firms.
