Governing Committees/Mwani Qatar (later sponsored by the
Ministry of Transport and Communications)
Role developed beyond risk management to include
consideration of value-creation and strategic advantage
support to the MoT/Mwani/NPP from risks/opportunities
addressed but not realised by the project/client teams with
key external stakeholders including:
· Ashghal (Expressways): management oversight of
novation of NPP legacy designs of the approach
roads from Ashghal s Expressways with new
agreements on Limits of Works, maintenance of live
traffic and design configuration for utilities corridors ;
and flood risk management with neighbouring
projects.
· Ashghal (IDRIS): TSE supply and interim
arrangements from Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC).
· Kahramaa: 22kV dedicated supply from MIC, MOUs,
Bulk Supply Agreement, and water supplies.
· QEZ3/Manateq: coordinated NPP interface to
safeguard NPP approach roads and expectations for
NPP delivery of assets on QEZ3 land.
· Qatar Rail (Long Distance Freight Rail and
Passenger Metro); alignment into and on port and
road crossings with Ashghal abnormal loads.
· Qatar Primary Materials Company (Gabbro): denial
of new MIC access road connection to port road

the delivery of risk awareness reporting to provide assurance
that the infrastructure programme and projects risks are

Managed the delivery of the NPP Lessons Learned initiative,

Worked with Director of Major Projects to deliver multi-
disciplinary land development projects including commercial
developments, residential, leisure, tourism, resort, marina,
retail, sport, mixed-use and industrial developments as well
as new coastal towns and cities. Major Projects have
significant levels of technical, commercial, organisational and
supply chain complexity requiring a high degree of
leadership, managerial and project integration capability, risk
awareness and problem-solving.
Project management of engineering design team for a
proposed US$26bn 2,000ha Velika Plaza development in
Montenegro for developer client Hydra Properties from Dubai,

complex issues and involved addressing significant risks for
the delivery of the projects.
For a public-private partnership, responsible for securing
planning permission through traffic, environmental, drainage
impact assessments and for initiating demolition and
decommissioning for the 40-acre Longbridge Technology

Responsible for managing multi-disciplinary engineering

Hong Kong Disneyland: responsible for leading several teams
on infrastructure design, planning, resourcing, coordination,
prequalification, contract preparation, tender assessment,
environmental matters, construction programming, cost
estimating and risk analysis for the 200ha Penny's Bay
reclamation (year 2000 contract value: around US$500
million).
Government land improvement: responsible for coordinating
infrastructure design teams inputs with a personal focus in
programme management: scoping and work package
definition, scheduling, cost, value & risk on multi-disciplinary
planning & development feasibility studies for the:
· 100ha Tuen Mun Area 54 housing site
· 50ha Tuen Mun Area 38 industrial estate
· 40ha Kowloon Point commercial and retail park.
Energy & waste management:
Deputy study manager for the Hong Kong Government's
strategic environmental improvement programme including
water treatment, waste collection and disposal facilities, and

Construction supervision in Hong Kong of airport fuel supply,
container terminal strengthening, light railway and LPG filling

Taiwan High Speed Rail Link, received project management
and cost control training in South Africa and undertook and
assisted with numerous bids in Hong Kong & the Asia region.
