The ENECON Engineering Team has developed an enviable reputation in the U.A.E. as the fluid flow systems problem solvers -- especially in the marine industry. This application at a local shipping company illustrates the effectiveness of CeramAlloy used to repair and then protect exposed marine tail shafting. The CeramAlloy system is much easier to install compared to traditional fiberglass or conventional epoxy systems. METALCLAD CeramAlloy also provides a much more erosion/corrosion resistant surface when compared to traditional approaches. After the shaft was grit blasted, CeramAlloy CP+ was used to fill-in and repair all pitted areas on the shaft. Then 2 layers of CL+ liquid ceramic were installed utilizing ENECON reinforcing sheet as a wrap between coats of the CeramAlloy CL+.
