ENECLAD SuperBond by ENECON saves thousands in replacement costs for Cyprus power station. The
plant’s engineers noticed leaking from numerous plates in these European-made plate heat exchangers.
Not only the replacement costs were enormous but the downtime would also cost the plant a fortune.
They had to do something and fast! They turned to ENECON Mesogios for help.
First all problematic plates were lined out and went through a penetration test. After the problematic areas were identified,
SuperBond was applied by small brush. No surface preparation was done or was needed apart from acetone clean up.
SuperBond amazed the plant’s engineers with its outstanding adhesion properties as well as resistance to pressure and sea
water. Finally, since the space between each plate during operation is minimal, everybody at the plant was satisfied that the
SuperBond proved to do the job with just a touch up!
