This presentation is about responsibility of colleges for the jobs of students. It includes:
~Introduction
~Why are colleges reponsible?
~What should the colleges do?
2. INTRODUCTION
Students get out of college what they put into
college, including an excellent internship or job
when they graduate. But that does not tell the
whole story. The colleges or universities has a
role to play too.
3. WHY ARE COLLEGES RESPONSIBLE?
It is their duty to make students efficient enough to land good jobs
when they graduate.
Students decide their field in college mostly through career
counselling in colleges. So it is on the colleges to bring to light the
demanding fields of the time.
Colleges are obliged to give students a positive return(obviously a
good job) on their investment.
4. WHAT SHOULD THE COLLEGES DO?
Colleges and universities should find ways to make college more
affordable
Colleges should make sure that they equip their students with
career-based knowledge and skills that help them land internships
and jobs.
should offer programs on how to prepare a résumé, how to
interview and how to network for a job and internship.
college can also harness the power of its alumni to help make full
employment happen for its graduates
5. Your college can invite alums to campus to help practice those
interviews, to review your résumé, and to recruit for internships
and jobs at their companies.
Your college can create alumni networks to help students conduct
informational interviews or shadow alums at their jobs, to learn
more about possible careers.

employment happen for its graduates
Accessing to unit-record data — connecting the student records
to the workforce records will help them conduct powerful
research and analysis on post-graduation outcomes that could
shape policies and program development.
