2. ● Our project is all about getting rid
of suicide, therefore we tried to
find a way to show it.
● A red bubble labeled suicide is
being thrown in the trash by a
“victim”. This represents how
someone who is upset with their
life and wants to end it. However,
with our project, the idea of suicide
is thrown away and forgotten.

3. Our Big Goal
Our goal is to prevent suicide in the best way possible. We feel passionate
about suicide prevention because we don’t want you to take your own life
just because people don’t take you for who you are. We are all unique in
our own way, and you should not feel sad or feel the need to kill yourself
just to escape your problems. People should feel content with who they are,
because everyone is beautiful in their own way.
4. Why does suicide happen?
Suicide happens because of several reasons:
● Depression
● Bullying
● They’re psychotic
● They’re impulsive
● If they have a mental or physical desire to die
● A mental disability
● Made a mistake
5. Statistics, And Why Suicide Is What We Chose
We chose this because it's a topic that is not widely discussed, and many
people can relate, for that matter some people in our group can relate, and
because of the horrible statistics, did you know that 400,000 people globally
commit suicide a year and for every one of those people 100 attempt, and
even more people contemplate it.
Every 12 minutes an American dies from suicide, that's 43,000 Americans
that die yearly, and 1.1 million attempts every year in America alone.
6. Action Plan
Social Self Esteem Activities
1. The Three Compliments; You have two people have a conversation ending
in Three Compliments.
2. One Step; Two people stand ten feet apart. One takes a step forward after
saying something nice. Whichever set reaches one another first, wins.
3. Story Exchange; A person will write a paragraph about themselves and an
someone will pick all of them up. Then that person will pass them to other
people.
4. Compliment Tutors; Someone will rip a compliment off a tutor sheet and
give it to the closest person.
5. Hateful PG; People will write down hateful words they cannot say for the
whole day.
7. Our Ad
You hear about bullying often, but do you hear routine reports of suicide?
One person dies every 40 seconds globally because of suicide. Children faced
with depression and major tragedies think of suicide as a way to escape or
end sadness. Our society is taking very little action on this problem. We need
to do something about it. The Suicide Busters are here to help. Found in 10
different states, we are partnered with non-profit organizations dedicated to
preventing suicide. You can help us prevent suicide today. Please. Help us
“put aside suicide.”

9. What is the best possible way to demolish suicide?
The best way to demolish suicide is to make people more aware of it, but
in a good way, like reporting it to the media responsibly and when people
say there is no evidence to suicide being “contagious,” there is evidence
that proves how negativity and sadness spread. There has been multiple
scientific studies on negativity and sadness spreading, and they all show
that it spreads like a wildfire.
10. How We Can Make A Difference In Our Homes And
Communities
We can make a difference in our community and homes by putting our
ideas to work and asking teachers to establish groups in school that mainly
work with kids who are experiencing depression, and give them fun
icebreakers to do. They will get to know each other and not be as depressed
to commit suicide. In this way, we can start to abolish suicide in our
community, and maybe even work our way up from there! Thank you for
listening.
