White Shark
White Shark, It is difficult to overestimate the reputation of the great and majestic white shark. One of
the great predators of the ocean is the shark more easily identifiable in the world thanks to its
distinctive and beautiful coloring black eyes and ferocious teeth and jaw which for decades have graced
many magazine covers. The white shark is one of the most widely distributed sharks have thanks to its
unusual ability to maintain their body temperature higher than the surrounding environment allowing
happily survive in very cold water. Although strangely can be seen in coastal areas often runs into fishing
boats and diving and known for their curiosity the white shark often raises their head above water and
most worrisome for humans who are in the water biting explores objects unfamiliar.
The great white shark is a species of elasmobranches family found in warm and temperate waters of
most oceans. This species is the only one that survives today genus Carcharodon. White sharks are
characterized by fusiform body and robust in contrast to flattened shapes that often look other sharks.
The snout is conical short and thick. The mouth is big and rounded shaped arc or parabola. Always
remain ajar revealing at least one row of teeth in the upper jaw and one or two of the bottom as the
water enters it and leaves the gills continuously If this flow to stop the shark gill drown because they
lack the right step to regulate water and sink in it since we do not have swim bladder is not doomed to
be on the move to avoid it.
The most common length between adult white sharks is 4-7 meters although cases have been cited
outstanding individuals who go far beyond those measures. At present there is no guarantee which is
actually the size "cap" or maximum in this species a fact that is reinforced by the existence of old notes
and unreliable on animals really gigantic .
Many biologists believe that shark attacks on humans are the result of exploratory behavior, which can
easily be fatal thanks to incredibly sharp be your teeth and the strength of his jaw. White sharks are
responsible for the greatest number of fatal attacks on humans particularly among surfers and divers.
The population of white sharks is decreasing so are now protected by law in many parts of the world.
