each number. Then, compare the places values of numbers
with the same amount of digits
These symbols are used to compare numbers:
> (greater than) < (less than) = (equal to or equals)

23 795 > 21 901 ; therefore 23 795 is greater
than 21 901

descending order after comparing them.
Ascending order of numbers is the arrangement of
numbers from least to greatest.
Example:
