2. Linear Programming
Definition
 It is the method of determining an optimum
program , interdependent activities in view of
available resources.
 Linear – implies that all relationships involved in a
particular problem which can be solved by this
method are linear
 Programming- refers to the process of determining
particular program or plan of action.

 Constraints or restrictions

 Non negativity constraints
