PSORIC
• Terminal Dementia:- Emotional disability and
loss of control (emotional incontinence) occur
early and the intellectual deficit is less
conspicuous. The psoric terminal dementia
patient is therefore easily provoked to anger
and tears, although, alternatively they may
become foolish or flippant.
• Senile Dementia:- (1) Interferes with the
person’s well-being. (2) Irritable and difficult.
(3) The patient tires easily and finds it difficult
to comprehend.

SYCOTIC
• Terminal Dementia:- Suspicious of others, jealous, fault
finding and quarrelsome are the characteristics of the
sycotic patient suffering from terminal dementia. They
become increasingly secretive. May commit sexual or
other offences.
• Senile Dementia:- (1) Interferes with the person’s
adjustment. (2) Memory of recent events is impaired while
the person retains the ability to remember remote
experiences (also syphilitic). (3) The patient has difficulty
in grasping and comprehending due to absentmindedness.
(4) Judgement is defective and the patient may become
deluded. Thoughts that someone is stealing their properly
or possessions are common delusions in sycotic patients
suffering from senile dementia.

SYPHILITIC
• Terminal Dementia:- (1) Syphilitic terminal dementia
patients are self-centred, depressed hypochon-
driacal and indifferent to the feelings of others. At
times they may lose all interest in life and dwell on
suicidal thoughts or even commit suicide. (2) The
intellectual deficit worsens progressively – the initial
memory loss is of recent events but extends in due
course further backwards in time (retrograde
amnesia). There is an inability to grasp, to
understand, to retain and to recall new impressions.
• Senile Dementia:- There is a decrease of interest and
the person becomes increasingly egocentric.

AGARICUS
• Great mental excitement and
incoherent talking.
• Fluctuation of moods shown by
increased cheerfulness,
courage, loquacity, exalted
fancy.
• Perception to relative size of
object is lost.
• A condition of furious or raging
delirium screaming and
outbursts of violence.
• Sensation as if being pierced by
needles or ice.
• Uncertain gait.
• Paralysis of lower limbs with
spasmodic conditions of arms.
• Muscular rigidity, twitching &

• Diminution of senses
(syphilitic patients often
