2. Clutched up is a project that I did for my business entrepreneurship class. My team created a utility strap bag and I
created mockups for what the strap could look like. I used my Adobe photoshop and illustrator skills to hand make
these mockups with different color schemes and develop the clutched up logo. We looked at all types of bags and
created this product by reframing the perspective of the modern day fanny pack.

Inspiration
The project I used for this page is a pattern made from
my computer design class. When I created this pattern
I was going for a variation of the evil eye look. My
culture heavily uses the evil eye symbol in their homes
and my mom always taught me how it protects us. I
used that theory to create a story with the muted colors.
Because the original evil eye contains bright contrasting
colors, I thought of turning the perspective of colors to
see if it gives off the same strong energy.
5. Inspiration
I created this pattern to reflect on my
perspective of this moment being in Balboa
Park. The building on the left was breathtaking
and all the details were perfectly constructed.
When I was building this pattern I wanted
to capture how the building had structural
and creative elements that worked really well
together. I took the creativity aspects and used
them to create my column inspired symbol
with little lines to represent layers that the
building has. Then I incorporated structure
within the hexagon shapes as a background
layer. I wanted this pattern to be joyful and
expressive just like the picture I took. In many
ways these don’t correlate but, in an open
perspective they make all the sense.
