2. Boxing
Boxing is an important
part of my
occupational identity
as it holds a lot of
meaning to me. I first
starting boxing with
my Dad last year and it
is something only him
and I share. Boxing is
also important to me
as it cements my
beliefs around health
and well-being.
3. Walking the Dog
with my boyfriend
This is an important
occupation to me as I like
to spend time with my
boyfriend and his dog in an
outdoor environment.
Marco is a huge part of my
occupational identity and
walking the dog is one of
many habitualised
occupations we do
together whenever I go
home to Christchurch.
4. Family
Holidays
Family holidays are
huge occupations
in my occupational
identity. My whole
life I have grown up
going on 2-3
holidays a year.
This keeps our
family close
together.
5. Fishing
Fishing is another part
of my occupational
identity. It has strong
ties my grandparents
as we go on holiday
every year to be with
them where we fish
and go boating for
weeks.
6. Flatting
Flatting has recently
become a large part of
my occupational
identity. This is my
first year of flatting
and has become a
huge occupation of
mine. With flatting
comes a huge change
in roles and
responsibilities.
7. Partying and
hanging with
friends
Partying and hanging
with friends is an
occupation that is an
important part of my
occupational identity. I
value friendship a lot
and partying is an
occupation we all like
to partake in together.
8. Studying
Studying is an
occupation that has
been present for the
majority of my life. I
am currently in
tertiary study to be an
Occupational
Therapist. Studying is
now a choice for me
and makes up a large
part of my
occupational identity.
9. Going to the
Gym
The gym is an
occupation that is
critical to my
occupational identity. I
place a lot of value on
health and fitness.
Going to the gym is
not only a great way
to exercise but it is
also a stress reliever.
10. Worker
Working is an
occupation that is
another part of my
occupational identity. I
have been involved in
part time employment
on and off since the
age of 16. Being
employed and
working is a critical
way to contribute to
society.
11. Netball
Netball is an
occupation that I have
not participated in for
two years now. It was
and still is a large part
of my occupational
identity. Netball is an
occupation in which I
was able to exercise
and also make and
spend time with
friends.
