2. Studying
Studying is an important
occupation that makes up
my occupational identity– it
is helping me achieve my
goal of becoming a qualified
occupational therapist. This
occupation includes
attending classes,
completing assignments and
studying.
3. My Siblings – being a
Triplet
My sibling make up a big
part of my occupational
identity. Especially as we
are triplets, this means
that I have always been
very close with them.
When we are together we
love to sing, go places
together and when we are
apart we skype to keep in
touch with each other.
4. Family
My family as a whole also
plays a big role in my
occupational identity. We
are a close family and they
offer me a lot of support.
The occupations we do
together include going on
family holidays and either
visiting friends and family
or having them over.
5. Attending Church
Being a Christian is a major
part of my occupational
identity. It shapes my entire
life, this picture is taken at
the church I have grown up
in. Occupations that I
engage in relating to this
includes going to church,
going to life groups and this
picture was of a mission
team I was apart of that
went to Fiji.
6. Horse Riding
Horse riding is one of my
leisure occupations, from a
young age I have enjoyed
horse riding and I mostly ride
friends horses. Occupations
that I engage in as a result of
this are grooming, mucking
out and actual horse riding. I
usually go horse riding with
my cousin.
7. Being a Flatmate
This year has been my first year
flatting so it is a recent addition to
my occupational identity. But it is
now something that is quite
important to me. It has meant
taking on chores around our flat
and weekly cooking. Occupations
we do together include, grocery
shopping, hanging out, having
meals and completing the tasks
on our bucket list.
8. Being in Nature
From a really young age I have
really enjoyed getting out in
nature and outdoors. I have been
on several tramps and walks in
nature and I love reaching the
final destination and hopefully
seeing the amazing views at the
top. It makes up my occupational
identity as I like to go on nature
walks, either in the bush or along
the beach. I will usually go with
friends or family.
9. Friends
Friendships and friends are
very important to me and
impact significantly on my
occupational identity. I value
good friends and being a
good friend. I engage in a
large amounts of occupations
with my friends, such as
hanging out, going to
movies, going to parties,
doing study together and
exercising.
10. Exercising
Exercising in an important
occupation that makes up my
occupational identity. I believe
it is important to keep myself fit
and I have always enjoyed
exercising. I like to go running,
do monthly exercise challenges
and I enjoy doing Blogilates
which are Pilates videos on the
internet. I find it more enjoyable
to exercise with friends.
11. The Beach
The beach is a place that I love
to go to, I find it really relaxing
and enjoyable. I also often stay
at beaches on family holidays.
Occupations that I love to do at
the beach include swimming,
making sandcastles, going for
walks, sunbathing and going
for motor bike rides along the
beach.
